Artistic Directors Phil Bowen & Sue Best run fortnightly group workshops for anyone interested in having a go at Shakespeare! These popular sessions give participants the opportunity to read, discuss, explore, perform and have fun together.

'The Have-a-Go sessions,' writes one of our members 'are exactly what I was looking for. They provide a chance to enjoy Shakespeare's plays, regardless of skill or education, in a friendly and fun environment, with a wonderful group of people.'

'Have-a-go' is open to all, though most of the members are over 50 and consist of a mixture of people ranging from those who’ve never thought much about Shakespeare through to avid fans. The sessions have also seen some members transcend into star players of the Willow Globe Company!

As well as having a go themselves, the groups take trips to see professional Shakespearean productions at nearby Theatr Brycheiniog, Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Stratford.

Sessions are £7 per person and run fortnightly at:

CELF, Llandrindod Wells - Wednesday mornings, 10am till 1pm

CARAD, Rhayader - Thursday afternoons, 2.30 pm till 4.30 pm

The Wyeside, Builth Wells - Friday mornings, 10.30pm till 1.30pm

Please come along and join in any of these groups, or if you’d like to speak to someone first get in touch.
