We are thrilled to be welcoming British Touring Shakespeare to the Willow Globe for the first time, hosting a company renowned for its engaging and audience-friendly performances.
For over 25 years, they have delighted audiences across the UK and internationally with vibrant, accessible productions of Shakespeare and classic literary adaptations. Performing in historic castles, stately gardens, and community green spaces, their aim is simple: to bring high-quality professional theatre to people wherever they are.
Each summer the company tours with fresh open-air productions and has expanded its work to include indoor shows, original adaptations, and educational projects. Past highlights include Twelfth Night, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Much Ado About Nothing, alongside adaptations such as Dracula, The Hound of the Baskervilles, and The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde, co-adapted by David Hobbs MBE.
British Touring Shakespeare was the first touring company to return to live performance during the pandemic recovery, a pioneering spirit that continues to drive their work today.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to open-air theatre, British Touring Shakespeare promises timeless stories and unforgettable performances.
