Arclight Drama Studio - The Two Noble kinsmen

  • WIllow Globe Llanwrthwl Llandrindod Wells, Wales, LD1 6NU United Kingdom (map)

Arclight Drama Studio proudly announces its latest production: ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’ by William Shakespeare, directed by Paul Cullen.

Often hailed as one of Shakespeare’s hidden treasures, ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’ is a stirring tale of friendship, rivalry, and destiny. Co-written with John Fletcher, this rarely staged play combines high drama, tender comedy, and moments of lyrical beauty, following two noble cousins whose bond is tested by love, honour, and fate.

Set amidst the living, breathing architecture of The Willow Globe, a unique open-air theatre woven from living willow trees, this production invites audiences to experience Shakespeare’s language in an immersive and elemental setting. The natural stage, alive with birdsong and rustling leaves, mirrors the emotional and spiritual journey of the play’s characters - a celebration of both human passion and the power of nature.

Director Paul Cullen brings a fresh and heartfelt vision to this complex story:

“‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’ is about love and loyalty - and the fragile line between the two. The Willow Globe gives us a space where myth and reality can merge, just as Shakespeare intended. It’s a chance to rediscover one of his most poetic and human works.”

Arclight Drama Studio, known for its dynamic interpretations of classic texts and commitment to ensemble storytelling, invites audiences to share in an evening of wit, wonder, and Shakespearean magic.

Join us beneath the canopy of The Willow Globe for an unforgettable encounter with Shakespeare’s ‘The Two Noble Kinsmen’ - a story of friendship, love, and the nobility of the human heart.
